On March 20, 2025, the Alabama Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) conducted the 2025 Winter Meeting, organized by the Dothan Branch. This event was held at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and featured a comprehensive program that included informative sessions, networking opportunities, and engaging giveaways. The conference attracted over 80 participants who contributed to meaningful discussions and collaborations.

A noteworthy aspect of the meeting was a guided tour of the Wiregrass Public Safety Center (WPSC), a 23-acre, $23 million facility designed to support police, fire, and emergency medical training. This state-of-the-art center exemplifies the commitment to enhancing public safety through advanced training programs, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of the critical services provided to the community.
