September 22, 2019 – President and Governors Forum in at ASCE Headquarters in Reston, Virginia

Birmingham Branch Host Congressman Gary Palmer

The Birmingham Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers was pleased to host Congressman Gary Palmer at our November Branch Meeting. Congressman Palmer gave our guests an overview of his accomplishments from his time in Congress including his work on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Intergovernmental Affairs Subcommittee, Science, Space, and Technology Committee and the Budget Committee. Mr. Palmer also provided an update on infrastructure funding, energy policy and de-regulation with time for Q & A for attendees at the end of the event. The Birmingham Branch would like to thank all members and guests for attending this event, and we look forward to hosting our half-day seminar in December.

Representative Martha Roby visits Montgomery Branch

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, the Montgomery Branch hosted United States Representative Martha Roby. Representative Roby was able to meet all of the attendees and then provided an Update from Washington D.C. including Transportation and Infrastructure.

Representative Martha Roby is currently in her fourth term serving the people of Alabama’s Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to being elected to Congress, Representative Roby worked as an attorney and served as a city councilwoman in Montgomery.
